Will you dominate the archipelago with countless amounts of troops, create the rock solid dream beach that crushes your enemies, or achieve in BOTH?? Only the wisest and most intelligent commanders will succeed in this. Do you have what it takes?

Focused Offensive Strategy PROS

In order to easily defeat mercenary and blackguard bases, conquer in operations, seize resource bases, and bring home mass amounts of dough after a couple rounds of Dr. Terror, you’re going to need a solid offense. There are four main points of offensive strategy that can be used, configured, and upgraded in many different variations.

These points include: landing crafts, gunboat energy, troop level, and gunboat ability level. Every time each of these are upgraded, your offense becomes more versatile and efficient. The rewards for having a solid offense are huge amounts of loot. Focusing on offense only is recommended for very active players.

Most important upgrades for your base.

When beginning a game like Boom Beach everyone wants to become the best they can as quickly as possible. At level 47, I realized that there are many things that I would have done differently to get a better start. My series of articles is going to highlight some of the easier ways you can improve yourself, in the quickest way possible.

First I recommend getting extremely comfortable with a specific troop. A lot of people switch different troops constantly, but knowing exactly how to control your best troop will make it easier on you once the bases get tougher and tougher. The best way to do this is by doing whatever you can to continually upgrade your ARMORY. In my opinion, next to your HQ, this is the single most important building on your base. No matter what troop you are best with, having the best possible out there will always be your way to big reward raids!» read the rest!

Tanking Tanks – Guide to Defending Against Tanks

Posted by & filed under Defense Strategy, Master Strategist.

Today we’ll break down Tank Tactics and how you can improve your base to defend against them.

Tanks and Tank + Medic combos are a very potent late game troop combination due to their high HP, range, and respectable damage.

In the hands of a skilled commander, Tanks can find blind spots in a base’s defense and pick them off like heavily armored snipers with their range. So the question is, how do you defend against these iron-clad war machines?

Tanks main foes are single target, high damage per second defenses like Cannons, Boom Cannons, and groups of Sniper Towers.

Conversely, they will shrug off area damage from Mortars and Machine Guns and even completely out-range Flamethrowers. With that said, an emphasis needs to be placed on keeping your Cannons, Boom Cannons, and Sniper Towers well protected if you want to repel a Tank attack.

Here’s what you need to know.

Checkin’ the Numbers – Intel

Boom Beach Wiki Intel

1st post of a new series of articles! In this series, we are doing MATH and taking a hard look at the numbers of Boom Beach and summarizing it so you don’t have to!

For today’s topic we’re starting off with something relevant to the latest Task Force patch: Intel.

And more specifically what you need to do to get the 2nd Intel for Base Defense.

First, a recap:

Intel can be earned 3 ways:

  • 1 Intel for defeating an NPC base (25% chance)
  • 1 Intel for defeating a Player Base (50% chance)
  • 1 to 2 Intel for destroying enemy troops during a base defense

The first two options are pretty straight-forward.

You’ll get on average 1 Intel for every 4 NPC bases you destroy and 1 Intel for every 2 Player bases you destroy. By no means is this a guarantee as it is ‘by chance’ and you’ll probably see your fair share of hot and cold streaks that average out.» read the rest!
