- While weak on damage output, Heavies are very durable and should be paired with high DPS units to quickly destroy enemy defenses while the Heavy takes fire.
- When deploying units, it is best to deploy the Heavy first so he can shield the softer units that will follow behind him as defensive structures will always target the closest unit possible.
- Early attack parties may utilize a Heavy paired with Riflemen. If 1 Heavy is enough to absorb the damage and keep the Riflemen alive, a 2nd Heavy may not be necessary as other units may provide more DPS to quickly raze enemy defenses.
- Starting at HQ level 5, Zookas become available and provide very high DPS in exchange for low HP. Thus, Heavy & Zooka parties can be strong in the early to mid-game.
Multi Man Chain Gang
You should field only 1-2 Heavies when you’re just starting out; any more and their low firepower may cause you to lose battles by time forfeiture. However, when you’ve unlocked your 5th landing craft, sending out a team of 4-6 Heavies backed up by a horde of Riflemen or Zookas can be very effective. A MedKit in the center of the Heavies will draw enemy attention for a long, long time.
