“Rifleman here, reporting for duty and ready to rock!”
Boom Beach Wiki Rifleman Strategy
Rifleman at the ready! Basic infantry units, the Riflemen are able to deal out and withstand moderate damage. In large enough numbers, they are almost unstoppable.
General Strategy:
  • Mass riflemen can overwhelm bases that lack defensive buildings with area damage such as mortars, machine guns, flamethrowers, or rocket launchers which can target multiple Riflemen at a time.
  • Riflemen are very weak to mortars and other splash damage buildings due to their mediocre hp and tendency to bunch up.
  • When paired with a Heavy, the riflemen can also safely fire from a distance upon strong single target buildings like Sniper Towers as well.
  • If kept alive, a group of level 1 Riflemen will deal significantly more damage than a Heavy as each Rifleman deals as much damage as a Heavy. Thus, if you are making a Rifleman/Heavy attack party, you should only use as many Heavies as needed to keep your Riflemen alive.

One of the best parts about fielding Riflemen is that they cost only one slot on a landing craft. This makes them a good fit when you’re in the middle of upgrading your assault vehicles but still want to maximize your firepower. Say you want to get to 9 capacity to employ 3 Warriors, but there’s a long wait: send out 8 riflemen instead! Always try to optimize your army.
